Our foundation is not some historic facts! Our foundation is God’s Word! “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God….All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” – John 1:1-4. God’s Word began life and not some historic facts!

It is important we remind ourselves that both whites and blacks originated from the same parents – Adam and Eve!Dr. Myles Munroe of blessed memory once said in one of his sermons that Adam means ‘black earth’ and I said humorously to myself, then Eve must mean ‘white earth’. All humans are upspring of Adam and Eve. Distorted science is seeking to replace this truth with ‘evolution’. Unfortunately some African ‘professors’(being ignorant of the fact that, the idea of evolution is targeted at giving life to racism)have joined hands with racist scientists to teach this error. What theseAfrican‘scientists’ have not considered is that,if men evolved from apes, then it goes to mean that the black man is closer to the monkey race than the white man.

Racist scientists are pushing the error of evolution to establish whites’ superiority over blacks. Evolution is silently saying that the white man was once an ape, then he evolved to become a black man, then coloured, and now he is a white man. In other words, the black man just evolved from the monkey race. Correct me if I am wrong: what is the commonest insult on the lips of white racists against blacks? “Black monkey”? Why? Is it not because ‘we have just evolved? Beloved African scientist, think! Wisdom resides with God and not with colonialists. Whatever discoveries you find in science text books, please check it with God’s Word. Every scientific knowledge which opposes God’s Word is false. 1 Timothy 6:20 says “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.”

God’s Word is the only foundation needed for the building of any lasting thing in life. That is why the builders of America chose Psalm 125:1 as their Coat of Arms.“In God We Trust”. Why did they not say “in technology we trust?”, “in philosophy we trust?” or “in politics we trust?”When the ‘nine eleven’ incident occurred, President Bush quoted Psalm 23 during his press release – “Yeah though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me”. John F. Kennedy said “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”. That is scripture: “Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth” – 1 Corinthians 10:24. America was built on scriptural principles, and that is why it emerged the greatest nation on the globe. Beloved, God did not place Ghana at the centermost part of the globe for nothing. If we Ghanaians decide to rule our nation with scriptural principles, we will soon become the force that holds the world together. When the center holds, things will no longer fall apart.

One may say, when did we begin to see Bibles in Africa? The content of the very Bible tells us when. The second river in the Garden of Eden compassed an African country – Ethiopia(Genesis 2:13). Africa has been a part of the Bible right from Genesis. When Philip met with the Ethiopian Eunuch, he (the African) had a Bible. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship the Almighty God, he was on his way back to Africa, he was reading the book of Isaiah when the Holy Spirit instructed Philip to go join himself with him (Acts 8:27-39). When that man gave his life to Christ, most of the celebrated countries on the globe today had not been discovered. An African gave his life to Christ before the colonial masters came to Africa. This explains why Ethiopia as a nation in Africa was not colonized. They had Bibles in that country! Bibles were in Africa before the colonialist came, but just as Bibles are in some homes but not in all homes, so were Bibles in Africa but not in the whole of Africa.

Our focus has all along been on our colonial masters, and of course, what you focus on is what dominates you. The colonialists have therefore indirectly become our gods! So, when we travel to their country, we see it as an achievement! Some countries have become heaven to us. It hurts to figure things out this way but that is the way it is. Colonial oppression is directing our affairs instead of God’s Word and righteousness. If we uphold God’s Word and righteousness against every other thing, our politics will be used to show love rather than hatred. Joseph who practiced righteousness in his days, transformed the economy of Egypt so much that, the whole world converged in Egypt for help. This was Joseph, who had the opportunity to retaliate the wickedness of his brothers but said “I fear God!” (Genesis 42:18). This was Joseph who could have taken advantage of his master’s wife but said “I fear God” (Genesis 39:9). Joseph’s wisdom was a product of his fear of God. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” –Psalm 111:10. Joseph’s fear of God gave him wisdom for food preservation. He was able to preserve grains for fourteen years in the land of Egypt.

When we begin to build our nation on the fear of God, relevant scientific inventions will come naturally. The reason we keep graduating scientists from our universities and yet keep importing everything including needles and spoons is, God is not part of our educational system. We uphold western scientific discoveries, philosophies and ideologies over and above God’s Word. Some may argue that, why is it that other nations who do not worship the God of the Scriptures, appear doing well also? The reason is, those who found the true God did not continue with Him, hence those who do not know Him are catching up with them. In the days of Daniel, he and his colleagues emerged ten times better than all the scientists in the land (Daniel 1:3-4, 20).

Those who found the true God and prospered by Him have now turned their backs on Him and are doing abominable things such as gay marriage et cetera. King Solomon, the wisest king that ever lived, succeeded when he began his journey with God. The following was said about him: “And Solomon loved the Lord”. That was what brought him fame (1 Kings 3:3-28). Solomon later turned his back on God and did abominable things. It was later recorded concerning him: “And Solomon loved many strange women” (1 Kings 1-11). Solomon lost his kingdom to his servant because he turned his back on God.

Nations like America which did well holding unto God,have now turned their backs on Him, and so,are about losing their exalted positions. It is high time we moved from ‘third world’ to ‘first’. Seeking God and His righteousness is our only hope! Let us not follow blindly.
