bright_day_light-1680x1050THE WISDOM OF JESUS IS THE FIRST LIGHT

This is one subject in Scriptures which almost succeeded in making me put the Bible aside as unrealistic during my early days in Christianity. What is the ‘firstlight’called into existence by God, which began day and night on this planet earth?

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the eveningand the morning were the first day” – Genesis 1:3-5.

Day and night began on earth via this‘first light’ mention in the above scripture.Certainly this is nota natural light because science informs us that the presence of the sun is what brings about day and night on this earth. The paradox is: the sun was created on the fourth day (Genesis 1:14-19)!!!I believe this is one of the reasons most scientists find it difficult believing the Bible. But of course Jesus made it clear that the mysteries of the kingdom can only be understood by those who believe in Him.“And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given”- Matthew 13:10-11.

Unbelievers cannot understand the mysteries in Scriptures because they do not have The Holy Spirit(the decoder of Scriptural mysteries)in their hearts(1 Cor 2:9-10; Jn 16:13).The Holy Spirit is in the life of believers to help them search and unravel the deep things of God. One of such is the subject in discussion: the first day light.

To understand this‘mystery-light’, there is the need to find out whether apart from physical lights (such as sun, moon stars electricity et cetera), any other thing could be described as light.Psalm 119:130 says: “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple”.“Entrance of thywords” in this scripture refers to ‘insight into God’sWord’. Soinsight is light! This is something to think about! If the first light God called into existence is not physical, then God’s declaration of “Let there be light” could also mean “Let there be insight” “let there be illumination”.

In other words,God called for a certain‘insight’before creating the world! What was this insight? 2 Corinthians 4:6 has it: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”. The first day light was the wisdom of Jesus.  It was the divine idea of God shining His glory through Jesus to save the world at the end.

God programmed our redemption before embarking on creation. That was the first day light!1 Peter 1:18-21 says “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things…But with the precious blood of Christ, ….Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,…”. God hatched ‘the Jesus wisdom’ before creating the world. That was the first day light. That is why the Bible refers to Jesus as “…the light of the world” – John 9:5. “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” – John 8:12. The wisdom of Jesus is the light which the darkness produced by satan and sin (evil and ignorance)could not comprehend“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” – John 1:5.

God Almighty saw the end from the beginning before creating the world. He therefore hatched the Idea of coming into this world to die as a man to salvage issues; this was described as light in the beginning of creation. The light of our salvation popped in God’s mindin the beginning. “God saw that the light was good”so He called it the first day. God declared the end from the beginning on the first day. Isa 46:9-10 says “…for I am God,Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.

The wisdom of God manifesting in the flesh (at the end) to save mankind, is the mystery light on the first day. Hebrews 2:14 says “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil”.This wisdom is the ‘first day insight’ which God possessed before the world began.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 says “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”.

When Jesus walked upon the surface of the earth, He did everything for His disciples to discover that He was God (The Lord of glory) in their midst as a man but they could not grasp it. Hear him in John 14:7:9:“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?”Jesus told Philip: don’t look beyond me for any father because I am the Father.

Isa 45:15 says: “Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour”. Our end-time assignment is to diligently search the Scripture to understand these kingdom mysteries (Matt 5:39; Matt 13:11). When John the Beloved took up this assignment, Jesus revealed Himself to him in Revelations 1:8: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty”.This is the end-time message given to the church to proclaim: “…I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches…”– Revelation 1:10.“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all”. – 1 John 1:5. The ‘first day light’ was the light of God ruling over spiritual darkness on this earth! The wisdom of Jesus is the first day light!
