“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” – 1 Corinth.2:7-8
The above scripture says before the world began, God hatched the hidden wisdom of the crucifixion of the “Lord of glory”. In other words, when God said let there be light, the light that emerged was, the light of Jesus coming into this world to die to salvage issues in the advent of any eventuality! Light connotes insight; it connotes a fresh idea or wisdom. Therefore, the first day light which God called into existence to begin day and night on earth was not the natural sun but a divine light! A divine idea! A divine wisdom! This explains why the natural sun was not the light on the first day but the light on the fourth day. “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night;…and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day” – Genesis 1:14-19.
THE LIGHT OF THE WORD BEGAN IT ALL
So, the light of the natural sun did not begin the counting of days on earth, the light of the Word (Jesus) did. John 1:1-5 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”.
The light which shined through the darkness in Genesis chapter 1 was not the physical sun but the light of the Word of God. This wisdom is what natural science cannot comprehend. Natural science says the light of the world is the physical sun, hence it disbelieves the Scriptures; but supernatural science says the light of the world is the Word (Jesus)! Consider the following scriptures: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” – John 8:12. Jesus says again in John 12:46“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness” – John 12:46.
Thelight which God called into existence in Genesis, before embarking on creation, was the wisdom of “the Lord of glory” Himself, coming into this world as a man to be crucified to save mankind from sin and satan. Remember, God does not just see the end from the beginning but also declares same. Isaiah 46:9-10 says “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else…Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.
LET THERE BE WISDOM!
What am I driving at? That, when God said “let there be light” in Genesis, He did not mean let there be a physical sun. He meant, let there be insight (a light) into the future of what He was about to create. God counted that insightas ‘the first day’! 2 Corinthians 4:6 says “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”.So, the wisdom of the glorious God in heaven manifesting on the earth as Jesus was the first day light mentioned in Genesis chapter 1. That light preceded the light of the natural sun. The supernatural sun existed before the natural sun was created. Isaiah 60:19 says “The sun shall be no more thy light by day…but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory”.Meaning the Lord is our original sun.
One other thing which is worth noting is that, the physical is a pointer to what exists in the Spirit realm. Romans 1:20 says “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, evenhis eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
THE INVISIBLE SUN OPERATES THE GODHEAD
The natural sun was among other things created for us to understand that there is aninvisibleSun operating a Godhead in the realm of the Spirit. Who is the invisible Sun? Jesus! The Sun of Righteousness (Mal 4:2). He revealed Himself as the Sun of righteousness to Peter, James and John in Matthew 17:1-2: “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light”.
Jesus is therefore the one operating the Godhead. This also explains why when He sent His disciples to go baptize in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost (Matt 28:19) they simply baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:5). They understood that the Godhead (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) represents Jesus! Yes! Father, Son and Holy Ghost are but divine offices which Jesus the only true God operates.I called Him the only true God because He is the only God who practically operated in all realms (in heaven, on earth and beneath the earth)!
Jesus holds the preeminent position in everything of life. Colossians 1:15-18 says “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they bethrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”
Jesus created all things, including the throne of God!“All things were created by Him and for Him”. The throne of God was created by Him and for Him. Of course Jesus cannot be anything less than the only true God. 1 John 5:20-21 says “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen”. Jesus is the only true God. Any other God apart from Him is an idol! This truth will be clearer to us when we replace the unscriptural word ‘Trinity’ with the scriptural word ‘Diversity’:“And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all”– 1 Corinthians 12:6.God is not three but one (James 2:19)! The Trinity God is an idol! The Diversity God is the only true God!
